Mindful meditation during these unprecedented times can be an escape to relax. Through sitting silently and paying attention to your thoughts, listening to the sounds around you, sensations of breathing, and bringing your attention back whenever the mind starts to wander.
Here are some mindful meditation exercises that you could try:
Focusing on your breathing, noticing how each breath you draw in fills your lungs and each breath leaves.
Practicing a few minutes of Yoga or Tai-Chi can everyday can also help with developing awareness of your breathing.
Taking time to accept yourself. Treating yourself the way you would treat a loved one.
Paying careful attention to your movements throughout the day. Finding opportunities to slow down and notice things in our busy world.
Living in the moment and trying to intentionally bring an open, accepting and discerning attentiveness to everything you do.
